The Department of Statistics & Data Science (SDS) is proud to announce our 43 graduates from the Spring 2025 semester. These graduates span four programs: MA in Statistics, BA in Statistics, BA in Data Science, and Minor in Statistics.
MA in Statistics Graduates:
Two Master's graduates, Qingwen and Luyi, shared a bit about their time in SDS at WashU.
Qingwen said, "WashU has truly been a FANTASTIC place for anyone who’s ready to dive in. The professors and staff are basically academic superheroes—always ready with advice and support. Our small classes might feel like friendly pressure at times, but they’ve also made me feel seen and supported every step of the way. I’ve genuinely enjoyed almost every moment in SDS (even the 3 AM stay-ups… well, maybe not those). My time at WashU will definitely stand out as one of the biggest milestones of my life—a meaningful ending and an exciting new beginning. Next up, I’ll be pursuing a PhD in the field of Statistics, where I hope to build on all the skills and connections I’ve gained here."
Luyi contributed, "During my time at WashU, I’ve grown both academically and personally. I’m grateful for the supportive professors and the harmonious, positive learning environment. I’m planning to take the CFA exam and pursue opportunities in financial analytics, where I can apply the analytical skills I’ve learned here."
